Sometimes I am asked why I am not available by phone. The telephone number on the website is only intended for WhatsApp or SMS.
Calling sometimes seems like the quickest way if you have a question or want to discuss something. However, I have consciously chosen not to offer telephone accessibility, and I would like to explain why.
I run my business alone. This means that one day I am doing all kinds of things: packing orders, receiving shoppers in the showroom, answering emails, purchasing, taking photos, working on the website, replenishing products or quickly going to the wholesaler or supermarket.
So there is not usually someone in the office to answer the phone, and I am often in the middle of something that really needs my hands or attention.
In addition, due to my fear of calling, I secretly find unexpected calls quite difficult. If I know I can prepare for a conversation, calling is completely fine. But receiving an unexpected call causes unrest, and I am often not in a place where I can immediately look up everything or watch closely with you. That doesn't feel comfortable to me, and ultimately it isn't convenient for you as a customer either.
What works well for me is if you send me a message. This can be done via email, WhatsApp (via the number on the website), Instagram, chat or the contact form.
This way I can answer your question calmly and completely while I am sitting behind my computer, with all the information at hand. You will then receive a clear and well-thought-out answer, which is better for both of us.
